Welcome to Our Website!
First and foremost, a warm shoutout to you for visiting our website. Now, here is a little piece of information about this website and how it derives, what it is about and how you should navigate through the pages.
This website is created as part of our group project for TPCK module at the Universiti of Brunei Darussalam. What is TPCK you may asked? TPCK essentially stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK). In this era, a teaching and learning challenge facing modern teachers is the mean to incorporate multi-modalities and differentiated educational technologies to enhance student learning. This TPCK framework is thus the solution or rather a guide for us teachers to meet this challenge head-on. This module that we undertake here provides us with exactly this opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills needed to integrate technology into our classroom practice and helps to build an understanding as to how new tools could complement both teaching and learning. Still clueless about TPCK? No worries, here is the deal... we have just provided you with the lead or if you would like to call it the 'trailer' or 'sneak preview'. The true merit of TPCK of course is to be uncovered by you if you are interested that is. Avail yourself to learn more at the TPCK website or alternatively, you may head on to Punya Mishra's web. His website here contains a huge range of good information about teaching and learning in the area of educational psychology and educational technology, which naturally means TPCK is one of the core element.
Now coming back, our website as you can see here is dedicated to a theme on "Holiday" which represents our undertaking for this group project. Within this website itself, you will find lesson plans (suitable for Year 7 to Year 9) created by the teachers for the students as well as a variety of other resources, worksheets, projects, inspirations and useful links that would be useful in teaching this topic. This topic and the lesson plans developed around it are inter-disciplinary and thus teachers could use it for whatever disciplines it best serves them, regardless if it is english, business, art or technology. This website will also be a primary source of information for our students in the process of lesson delivery. A final note here, we would last but not least like to acknowledge and give due credits to some of the sources from which some of our resources are derived, if not created by us from scratch (see acknowledgement page).
We shall leave you here for now. Enjoy your stay :)
Yours Truly,
Dorothy, Aza & Dinah
